SAAB V4, 1975 - 69,200 miles. A Lovely car with an interesting engine. Sill need welding, o/s door bottom and rear wing holed, needs rust treatment but all manageable. I found it abandoned and decided to rescue it. Swedish 1700 engine with overthrown crankshaft fitted with a four-stud twin-choke carburettor, rebuilt at 47,500 miles. Stainless Jetex-type exhaust. New battery and Vredestein tyres, plus set of wide-rim wheels with 15x165 tyres. Tame when driven normally with the power there for overtaking. £1,800 (just covers my costs). Rare, limited edition, SAAB 9000 Carlsson. Black with grey leather & suede interior, sunshine roof, 2.3 lire, 225 BHP. First registered March 1991 with one previous owner, regularly serviced every 6,000 mls originally by Saab dealership and latterly by Saab specialists. 223,000 miles - original engine replaced last year with one from an identical car with 104,000 miles on the clock. She’s never been modified and is still on the original turbo. This Limited Edition version is a high-speed grand tourer-cum-load carrier which came with all the bells and whistles as standard: ABS+3, traction control, full instrumentation, cruise control, 4 electric windows, sports seats, electric exterior mirrors, heated front seats, rear wash/wipe, headlight wash/wipe, central locking and three-spoke alloys. Fitted with Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme 205/50R16s to the front less than 1000 miles ago and Vredestein Ultracs to the rear about 20,000 miles ago. The bad points: the usual rust starting on one front and one rear wheel arch, head lining needs replacing, wheels need refurbishing and the radio can be a bit temperamental. Saab 900 special tools: 1) for adjusting twin Stromberg carburettors [goes down through the top];
2) Saab 900 tool for initially adjusting [hand]brakes; 3) Pressure brake bleeding system with various adaptors to suit vehicles - use off airline or spare wheel; 4)  'Colortune' borosilicate glass tuning plugs to see the correct colour of combustion.  No reasonable offers refused.
